Royal Chitwan National Park (Nepal)
The Royal Chitwan National Park is synonymous with wildlife. It is one of the largest and most well known National Parks in Nepal, famous for its rhino and Bengal tigers living in their wild natural habitat.
The park is conveniently located between Kathmandu and Pokhara on the border with India. A visit to Chitwan can be as part of tour or as an extension to a trek.
You can drive or fly to Chitwan; the recommended method is the drive in, fly out to experience the scenery from both angles.
Chitwan is home to over 500 rhinos, an estimated 80 Bengal tigers, elephant, leopard and over 50 other types of animal. There are over 450 species of birds including the very colorful kingfisher. This park is reputed to be one of the best in Asia. It has no fences for much of its boundary!
The Nepalese Govt is likely to decide this year (2011) to close all hotels inside the Park boundaries. To avoid unnecessary movement, we use the highly regarded Hotel Parkland for our clients. We reserve the right to change this should accommodation not be available.
All food and activities are included in the price throughout your stay.
