You can drive or fly to Chitwan; the recommended method is the drive in, fly out to experience the scenery from both angles.

Chitwan is home to over 500 rhinos, an estimated 80 Bengal tigers, elephant, leopard and over 50 other types of animal. There are over 450 species of birds including the colorful kingfisher. This park is reputed to be one of the best in Asia. It has no fences for much of its boundary!

In order to get the most out of Chitwan, we recommend it is best to stay inside the park boundaries, which allows greater access to the vast wilderness that you will explore by elephant.

Travel and Trek recommends the Gaida Wildlife Camp, which sits at the edge of the jungle. The calming Rapti river is in between the Camp and the jungle and often attracts animals down to drink, which you can sit and watch from the comfort of your wooden lodge veranda.

You are accommodated in spacious lodges with en suite facilities and all food and activities are included.
