Annapurna Region

Of all the trekking regions that Nepal offers, the Annapurna region is arguably the best, ticking all of the boxes regarding variety of routes, stunning scenery from 8000m white alpine peaks to lush green rural farmland and the flexibility to change route should it be necessary. All of the trekking routes lie within a Conservation Area.

The region is 200km to the west of Kathmandu and accessed through Nepal’s second largest town, Pokhara. It can be reached either by road (approx 6hrs) or by air into Pokhara airport (30mins). You should allow a day for travel each way.

The region is also served by a conveniently positioned mountain airstrip (Jomson), which enables some routes to be trekked in either direction or used as a base for day treks. By flying into Jomson, you can get deep in the trekking region in a matter of 20 mins.
