were both unfortunately cancelled due to insufficient custom and/or possibly the heavy expense.

So what is 'Trek the World'?
Originally marketed and unique to Travel and Trek in 2006, in essence we hop from trekking area to trekking area (by air), circumnavigating the globe experiencing all that comes before us. The different cultures, people, trekking styles and potential weather conditions are all taken in our stride. Imagine the sense of achievement when you complete something as unique as this; truly immense. The length of journey and countries visited will dictate the cost, which may need toning down a bit in order to ensure that the trip goes ahead.
The original route was UK - Jordan - Nepal - Bhutan - Hong Kong - Australia - New Zealand - USA - Canada - UK
2010 looks now more likely to be the next planned venture; a trip of this nature requires a long lead in time and ideally a formed group way in advance. The likely departure from the UK is mid - late Spring circumnavigating the globe in an easterly direction. The number of countries is likely to be less than the original route in order to keep costs down to a reasonable level. |
